July 17, 2008I’ve been having a stab at colouring without the magic of Photoshop. I hauled out some old acrylic paints I inherited from my brother and a tin of white pearlgo and started drawing and painting in Joseph Heller’s second novel – Something Happened. I think he would approve. He wrote Something Happened to show how boring and mundane life can be – in hindsight, perhaps he chose a dud topic for a book. Nonetheless millions of people, hoping for a bit more of that Catch 22 magic, own copies of Something Happened. So if you haven’t burned it, sold it and aren’t using it to prop up a table – perhaps you too should make use of it. Here’s an icecream on page 181.

July 9, 2008The paper, it’s here.
July 7, 2008I got 10 sheets of my new wrapping paper on Thursday, but I haven’t had time to post. So here it is. It turned out excellently – colours are spot on, line quality is great, paper is suitably thick and shiny. Awesome, really.
If you’d like sheets of your very own, you can get them at The Space and at some Exclusives here in SA (after August they should be more widely distributed). And if you’re far, far away or live in some of the remote dorps featured in the paper, you can get hold of the distributors, GLMS cards and ask them nicely for some. (www.glmscards.co.za)
